About Shannon

Shannon Douglas

RN, BSN, NC-BC

I believe that when we care for ourselves, we don’t just feel better—we inspire others to do the same. That belief fuels my passion for helping people live well at every age.

After years in nursing, I saw how easily we lose touch with what truly keeps us healthy: movement, nourishment, and purpose. I created Whole Health Nurse to help people rebuild strength, balance, and confidence through mindful movement and small, meaningful lifestyle changes.

I care deeply about those who are losing strength or struggling to get moving again. I know how hard it can be to rise each day—but I also know the power of that first small step. My work helps clients:
• Reconnect with their bodies and rediscover what feels good.
• Build sustainable habits around nutrition, sleep, and stress.
• Find motivation, balance, and purpose in daily life.

My own health challenges—gluten intolerance, scoliosis, insomnia, and recovery from a broken back—have shaped my approach with empathy, creativity, and resilience. Healing isn’t linear, but every step forward matters.

At the heart of Whole Health Nurse is connection: to body, purpose, and community. Because when one person heals, grows, and thrives, it creates ripples that lift us all.

As Mary Oliver asks, “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”
